As Summer draws to a close, we go through a time of transition. As the weather cools down and the leaves change colors, it is so important that we change our lifestyles and health needs to meet these seasonal changes.

  1. Stretchng – with raking leaves, putting away gardens, and other Fall chores we do, we raise the possibility of muscle related injuries. Regular stretching helps to keep your muscles and joints healthy.
  1. Get regular sleep – as the Fall season approaches, the days become shorter giving us less daylight to complete our many tasks. Keeping a regular bedtime routine keeps our bodies healthy and reduce illness and injury.
  1. Eat healthy – colder days mean heavier foods to keep us warm. Be conscious of the “one size” fits all food portions when it comes to eating. Take advantage of all the healthy fall veggies and make some delicious meals for yourself and your family.
  1. Exercise – in the Summer, everyone is more willing to exercise to have that bikini body. But continuing the momentum of exercise is very important. Regular exercise helps keep your body fits. Keeps your weight at an ideal level, and reduces your chance of illness.

Fall is a time for change. Make adjustments and enjoy the change!
